Herbal Aloe Hand Cream - Solutions for dry hands.

Herbal Aloe Hand Cream - Solutions for dry skin!Brrrr..It is cold outside today. But what do you expect on the first day of February? We've had three Alberta Clippers come through in the last week and the furnace has been kicking. For those that want to know an Alberta Clipper is an extremely cold air mass that comes out of the artic, sweeps through Alberta (Canada) and slams into the midwestern USA. Single digit and below 0°f are common.

When this happens the air inside tends to be very dry and staticy. Not only is this annoying but can really affect exposed skin. The layers of clothes you wear help keep in your body's heat and moisture. However your hands and face tend to dry out and look like a dry riverbed in the desert.

So...what I do is reach for the Herbal Aloe Hand Cream and apply liberally. Find out why this hand cream has the best IASC rating. Click Here

Cold Day, Hot Tea

Herbal Concentrate Green Tea Mix warms you up, and soothes your stomach too. Yup, it is officially frigid outside. Here in the midwest it is so cold, that no amount of preperation will keep the freezing air out. I went to the store yesterday for some SuperBowl beverages. Nearly froze to the seat of the car. When we got home I had to throw the deadbolt on the front door after we came in. Okay, it helps seal the door up better. So there is a tip for you: If your doors don't seal well try locking the deadbolt (if you have one). That might tighten up your seal.

It was so cold that my double layered thinsulite with gortex gloves weren't enough to keep my hands from freezing. So here's what I did. Mixed up a hot cup of Herbal Concentrate Green Tea Mix (lemon). And wrapped my hands tightly around the cup as I drank the hot tea down. Amazingly I was warmed up and feeling good in less than 10 minutes.

One of the many benefits of Green Tea is, that it tastes great hot or cold. Can you say that about your coffee?

I'm going to have another cup of het Herbal Concentrate Green Tea Mix today too. Right after I take out the garbage from last nights Superbowl festivities. Click Here

Good morning bathroom scale - you liar.

What is your ideal weight? Find out here! Uh Oh, I jumped on the bathroom scale this morning. Bad news, I gained 1-1/2 pounds since New Years day. And I thought I was doing so well. After losing 50 pounds and getting close to my ideal weight, it happened. The holidays that is. Doesn't it seem that we all eat too much at that time of year. Me included. Then the New years resolution gets made. Okay, how many of you said their resolution was to "start a weight loss program"? I see a lot of hands going up.

Now, how many of you actually got started on a weight management plan? Uh huh, not as many hands in the air this time. And why is that? Don't tell me, let me quess. You started a plan but it didn't work. You haven't found a plan that suits your needs. You tried it for a couple of weeks, but you didn't lose any weight. You only diet during the week, on the week-ends you chow down.

Okay, what you need to know is that, for any weight loss plan to work you need to set goals. Obatianable goals, like "lose 10 pounds this month" or "drop 2 pant sizes before summer" or "lose just enough to fit back into those skinny jeans again". But, and this is the big one. You need to ask yourself "what should I weigh"? When you see the big picture all the other goals seem a lot easier to reach.

Now, who wants to find out what their ideal weight is? By knowing your ideal weight you can set the ultimate goal: "I should weigh this much for my frame and body size". Folow this link to the Ideal weight charts. Find out more about the bathroom scale and your ideak weight... Click Here

Tip #13 of 10 sensible weight loss tips.

Nerver Skip Breakfast, tip 13 of 10 sensible weight loss tips. Yesterday, I found out that I had gained a pound and a half. Today, I found out I lost a half pound. Whew, for second there I was worried. I looked up my favorite weight loss tips to see if there was something I could change to get back on track with my wieght loss program. And there it was "Never skip breakfast".* Ah hah, just a little thing right. Wrong! at least for me.

Skipping breakfast can slow your metabolism down. You may think that fewer calories in the morning means more calories burned. But what happens is that because you didn't energize yourself with fresh fuel your body slows your metabolic rate to conserve energy. And worst of all it converts tissue to fat and stores the energy for later usage. Your body will protect the energy stores it has to stay alive. So the best thing to do is feed the fuel to the engine and get your engine running.

Darn Good Chili mix

Yesterday, the weather man predicted 5-8 inches of snow, with freezing temperatures and below 0 degF wind whill. Okay, that's a winter storm. So off to the grocery store I went. Don't want to be shut in without supplies. Mmmm...how about a hot bowl of Chili. I like Bear Creek "Darn Good" Chili, as a soup starter. Of course I add vegies and lean meat and more spices to make it tastier. You'll want to trim the meat to very lean if you are counting calories or trying to keep your fat intake down. So Here is my recipe for tasty "Darn Good" chili.

  • 1 package Bear Creek "Darn Good" Chili mix - 120 calories per serving, 0g trans fat, 0g saturated fat
  • 1 12 oz. can Red Gold Chili Ready tomato sauce - 35 calories per serving, 0g trans fat, 0g saturated fat.
  • 1/2 cup each of diced green pepper, diced yellow onion, sliced mushrooms and diced celery.
  • 1/4 cup hot salsa , 10 calories, 0g trans fat, 0g saturated fat.
  • 1-1/2 pounds diced, very lean stewing beef.
  • 1-2 tblspns each of, garlic powder, chili powder, basil and italian seasonings. Spice to taste.
  • Brown meat with onions till tender, pour off drippings and set aside for now. Bring 7 cups water to boil and wisk in "Darn Good" Chili mix. Lower heat to a simmer, allow to cook for 25 minutes, stir occasionally. While simmering slice and dice the vegies. Mix in remaining vegies and meat. Allow to simmer on low heat at least 2 hours, stir occasionally. Add tomato sauce, spices and salsa, allow to simmer for 1/2 hour. Makes about 1 gallon. About 150 calories per serving, low trans fat, low saturated fat. Serving size 1 cup prepared.

That's it for now. Hope you enjoy the recipe. Learn more about chili peppers... Click Here

Herbal Aloe Shampoo and hair loss

Herbal Aloe ShampooThe other day my friend asked me "how come you have nicer hair than your brother?" Then it hit me I use a nicer shampoo. Herbal Aloe Moisturizing Shamoo. Yes, Aloe in the shampoo. There are so many uses of the aloe plant, why not put it in shampoo. So, I compared heads with my brother. I have more hair and it is fuller and more manageable even though I am a little older than him.

As a fan of all Herbalife's products, I use the Herbal Aloe Shampoo and Conditioner everyday. I love the way it feels and smells, but after using it for a while I also noticed that less of it is falling out. Something that happens as we age is hair loss. Studies have shown that taken internally an used in daily cleansing aloe helps to prevent hair loss. Pretty cool huh? Follow this link to... Click Here

    Kevin Harvick wins Daytona 500

Daytona on a budget. The great American race, the Daytona 500 was won by Kevin Harvick. In case you missed it, Kevin Harvick only led 1 lap, the one that counted. With a beautiful slingshot pass on the last chute leading to the checkered flag. WOW what a move. Fan favorite Mark Martin was the last victim (read second place).

I couldn't help but notice the great physical shape the drivers were in for the start of this years NASCAR season. Even Tony Stewart looks like he lost weight. A bunch of weight. I guess he was hoping to climb the fence and wanted to do it easier. That is his trademark celebration for winning a race. He certianly had the fastest car. Unfortunately Tony was taken out prematurely in a racing accident. It looked to me that he lost control when Kurt Bush tried to pass on the inside. I do not think this was intentional. As Kurt never touched Tony's car, it just got away.

LiftOff Energy Drink - Gets your motor running! So how do race car drivers prepare for a race? Certianly, racers want to be at their best physically and mentally. My guess, no experience says that racecar drivers will always do something to enhance their performance. I'm not talking drugs, I'm talking vitamins, energy drinks and natural enhancers. My favorite is LiftOff energy drink. Drop a tablet in 12 oz. of water, wait for it to fizz away and then blast off. All natural effervescent energy drink gives your body and mind a boost, whenever your engine is running on empty. Click Here

Let's eat to lose weight, here's how

high Protein low calorie snacks to keep your metabolism up.You may have heard from nutritionists that you should eat 5 or 6 times a day to lose weight. Huh? is that right? Here is the theory behind why this works. Losing weight means burning more calories than you consume. To do this you need to boost your metabolism keeping your internal engine going strong.

If you eat 5 smaller meals a day instead of 3 big ones, your metabolism should goes up. Why, because your body has fresh fuel to burn more often. This technique only works well if you eat the proper metabolism boosting foods. Apples are very good for this. So is soy protein. But what is best? I like to have a mid-afternoon snack to keep my engine going.

Seems odd, doen't it? Not really when you think about it. Everybody has a resting metabolic rate. This is the amount of calories your body burns just to keep you healthy while at rest (like sitting in front of your compter). If you keep the energy going you should be more active. If you are more active you burn more calories. Before you know it the pounds start to fall away.

Herbal Nutrition solutions has a nice selection of high protein low calorie snacks that taste great and fill you up. My favorite is the Creamy Chicken Soup Mix. Additionally you should take a herbal enhancer to boost metabolism as well. By using a metabolim booster like Total Control along with a light snack, you will your boost metabolism keep your engine running. Follow this link to Click Here

    Road Trip Tips

How to prepare for a road trip (1/2 day). When I think about this it occurs to me that I better check the weather first. Here are some of the preperations I do for a short road trip.

    1. Check the weather forecast for your route. Then you can plan in delay times, if needed.
    2. Check you route for construction and trffic delays, if possible. Ths will help estimating travel time.
    3. Drink plenty of water 2 to 3 hours before I go.
    4. Eat a large meal the night before, this ensures enough energy for the next day.
    5. Eat a small meal just before leaving. You want have some food in your stomach but not too much.
    6. Dress extra warm. Dress in layers, you can always peel off the layers if you get too warm. But you can't add them if you don't have them.
    7. Bring a wide brimmed hat. You never know when you might get caught outside in bad or very sunny weather.
    8. Take an energy booster, I like Total Control. This ensures that you don't fall asleep at the wheel and keeps you alert while driving.
    9. Bring along a beverage, you don't want to dehydrate before you reach your destination.
    10. Bring along some snacks (no sugar) for energy if you get tired.
    11. And lastly Tell someone where you are going, why you are going and when you expect to get back. This is plain sense that can help if you get in trouble on the road.
    12. Lastly, leave a little early, it is better to be early or on time but do not be late.

    Cellular Man fights greasy foods.

Cellular Man - Saving the planet from greasy fat soaked foods and irregularity.Have you ever been invited to a big mexican feast? While your trying to manage your weight? Are you asking yourself - how can I eat all that greasy fat soaked food without getting fat? Do you feel like you want to pass up the invitation to dine out, but don't want to hurt your friends feelings? A difficult decision indeed.

Here's how you can do all that without feeling guilty. Eat high fiber foods before you dig into the greasy stuff. Apples, grains and cellulose containing foods are great. The idea here is that the fiber content will absorb the fat and pass it through your digestive sytem without being absorbed.

If you don't have high fiber foods available you can take a fiber supplement instead. You may want to have these on hand anyway. Getting enough fiber in your diet is essential to good health and regular elimination. Most people don't even know they aren't getting enough fiber in their diet. To help myself stay regular and enjoy those big greasy meals I use Herbalife Thermo-Bond Fiber Tablets. Click Here
