Myths about food and losing weightWhen starting a new weight loss program we are often given advice on how and what to eat. Sometimes the information we receive is just not true. Following are 5 of the most common myths about food and losing weight. Don't be surprised if something you thought was true isn't. Many of us often take the wrong approach to weight loss because we believe it means eating less or eating healthier foods.
Food Myth #1 - Cutting down on portion size is the best way to lose weight. Not true - If you attempt to lose weight just by cutting down on portion size you are likely to gain the weight right back. Long lasting weight loss results will come from the types of food you eat not just the amount.

Food Myth #2 - Cut out the fat and you'll lose weight. This approach to losing weight simply doesn't work. Just because a food is labeled 'Fat Free' does not mean that it is low in calories. Skin cleansing - know your skin type
