Why this works? Glad you asked! First of all it is important to change or boost your metabolism to start to lose weight. What this does is allow me to burn more stored fat calories than usual. The nutritional shakes are important because they give me the nutrition I need to keep going. They also give me a full feeling and helps to reduce my urge to snack. I Drink a nutritional shake for breakfast and lunch as a meal replacement, on a regular schedule every day at the same time. It is important to do this consistently for the proper effect to occur.
Drinking a lot of water is probably the most important weight loss promoter. Our bodies are made up of 94% water. So getting enough is important to life itself. When you drink more than you need water helps to clean your systems and remove toxins. Doing this allows your body to start to burn stored fat calories instead of storing more of them.
Adding a good multivitamin and other targeted herbal supplements allows me to control my appetite and still get the nutrition I need. Controlling your appetite is extremely important during any weight loss program. It is not so much the supressing of hunger but not having the urge to snack or overeat. If you are a snacker, reducing your urge to snack can also help you to save some money, by not spendng it on snacks.
Doing strenuous activity each day really gets the metabolism going and burns more fat calories. I'm not trying to build muscle mass so I'm not targeting any type of body building exercises. Simply doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen and other normal activities works just fine.
Green Tea is well known for its thermogenic (metabolism boosting) properties which is very helpful for weight loss. I like a cup of tea mix in the afternoon to keep my motor running and support weight control.
Why you should plan your evening meal. Planning your evening meal puts your natural feeding cycle on a regular schedule. Your body knows when mealtime is coming and adjusts itself accordingly. Planning the times of your meals and what you eat gives your body and mind more control over when you feel hungry. This also helps you to control the urge to snack.
Incredably, stress plays a major role in weight gain. One of the biggest factor to obesity is stress caused by inadequate or interupted sleep schedules. When you get enough rest on a regular schedule you can significantly lower your stress level. Along with a regular eating schedule a regular sleep schedule gives your body and mind more control over when you feel hungry and reduces your urge to snack.
In summary my weight loss program is just that. I decided when and what I was going to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I decided what areas I needed to target and use herbal supplements and vitamins to meet those needs. By planning my meals I am able to cook and eat the foods I like and control my appetite at the same time. Putting myself on a regular eating and sleeping schedule has helped to control my urge to snack and lowered my stress level. All these factors put together have resulted in a 3 pound weight loss in 6 days. So my weight loss program is right on schedule. It has been really easy for me to do this because I do it every 6 months. It can be really easy for you too with the right information.
Read More (Permalink)Some may say that I'm losing the weight too fast and it will just come back. And they may be right, but I hope not. Weight loss is a kind of cyclical process. You lose weight, then it comes back, then you lose some more, then it comes back. It is the net result that matters.
Right now I'm only on day 11 of my program. So I'm confident I'll reach my goal. Besides, I have a secret weapon that I will reveal at the end of my program. It is always good for a 3 to 6 pound weight loss in one day. I will also reveal my motivation for this program at that time too.
Okay now for some important information. The other day I was feeling a little down and ill. Actually I was expecting this. You see, when you start a new weight loss plan through improved nutrition you will be purging you body of toxins and poisons that accumulate in your tissues. As these poisons are released (into the blood stream) they affect you more. Until they are cleaned out through the kidneys and liver they can cause adverse health symptoms.
Many of these health symptoms are often misinterpreted or misunderstood. For example: several days after starting a weight loss program you may suddenly feel nausea and/or cold symptoms. This is a reaction to the newly released toxins into your blood stream, NOT a reaction to your weight loss products. Because you are eating healthier your body will rebuild itself with the better food and discard the weak and old tissue. Your immune system is then bombarded with all this junk that is not yet flushed out. When the junk is all flushed out of your system you should feel better than you did before starting your weight loss program.
As you progress through a weight loss program you will experience some ups and downs. You may feel great one day and the next day you feel ill. This is normal, no need to take drugs to counteract these symptoms. You may be just putting more toxins back into your system.

Is it ok to skip a day?
Update: Day 13 of my lose 10 pounds in a month weight loss program. I did it again, I lost another pound, That brings my total to 6 pounds lost so far. Am I doing great or what? I think that is pretty good. So the question is can I skip a day and pig out once in a while?
Answer: Yes without a doubt. But you may ask won't that impede your progress? Yup, sure will. I will probably gain back a pound or two. Well, then how do you justify that? Easy, I earned it. I'm so pleased with my self I need a reward. Say a big plate of spaghetti followed by chocolate for dessert. Mmmm...sounds yummy.
Tip #5 of 10 sensible weight loss tips states:
Celebrate your success: Each time you lose 5 pounds, acknowledge your achievement by giving yourself a little gift. Try having a special meal for your family or friends. Then tell them all about your success. This will build confidence and reinforce your motivation. Remember safe weight loss takes time and should be rewarding and fun.
So, yes it is okay to skip a day in your weight loss program. But, it has to be earned and you need a good reason. Don't go overboard, and make your reward worth it. Besides you may have foodstuff that you've abandoned in your weight loss program that is now just taking up space in your cabinets or refrigerator. You don't want that to go to waste.

Update: To my lose 10 pounds in a month weight loss program. Sorry no update this time. It is too close to my last weigh in and measure to get a good result. So instead I thought I'd touch on the subject of the cost of weight loss products.
I have had people tell me "I can't afford to go on a diet". And then ask "why do they cost so much?" To answer to that is tricky because you can't just look at the price of a product to determine it's real value. For instance the nutritional protein shakes cost about $1.15 each. While a bacon and egg breakfast costs about $2.00 each. Not only is there a big difference in price but the nutritional shake will stay with you longer and provide better nutrition.
So, lets say you have bacon and eggs everyday for a month. That is 30 x $2.00 = $60.00 a month. The shakes on the other hand are 30 x $1.15 = $34.50 a month. Again, lets say you have a bacon cheeseburger meal at a cost of $5.00 and you eat one everyday for lunch, for a month. That's another $150.00 a month. Now you are at $210.00 a month and the nutritional shakes would be $69.00 a month if you had one for lunch and breakfast. It can actually cost much less to go on a diet than than expected.
When you do a one on one comparison a canister of nutritional shake mix looks like $34.50 and bacon, eggs and a cheeseburger looks like $7.00. The difference is that the shakes come 30 servings at a time.
It gets even better when you consider the value of the nutrition you eat. The bacon and eggs with cheeseburger meals don't provide the nutrition the same way the shakes will. The protein shakes are designed to give you the vitamins and minerals you need. While the bacon, eggs and cheeseburger will give you too much cholesterol and saturated fat. The shakes will help you to lose weight while the bacon, eggs and cheeseburgers will help you gain weight.
You can see that eating nutritional shakes can not only help you lose weight but also save you some money. It gets even better in the long run too. With the nutritional shakes you can change the recipe as often as you like to get different tastes. While bacon, eggs and a cheeseburger will get awfully boring by about the third day.

High blood pressure and cholesterol can lead to heart disease. Many people are afflicted with this problem. Here are some interesting facts I came across in my research into lowering blood pressure and cholesterol.
Blood pressure is basically a simple thing. Your doctor measures it to determine how strongly the blood is pumping through your veins. This gives the doctor a general idea of the health of your veins and heart. Most of the time, this system works perfectly, but a few things can cause difficulties.
The pressure of the circulating blood decreases as blood moves through veins, arteries, arterioles, and capillaries; the term blood pressure generally refers to is arterial pressure, i.e., the pressure in the larger arteries, arteries are the blood vessels which take blood away from the heart.
The average pressure: throughout the cardiac cycle is reported as mean arterial pressure; the pulse pressure reflects the difference between the maximum and minimum pressures measured.
Typical values for a resting, healthy adult human are approximately 120 mmHg (16 kPa) systolic and 80 mmHg (11 kPa) diastolic (written as 120/80 mmHg, and spoken as "one twenty over eighty") with large individual variations.

Update to my "Lose 10 Pounds in a Month" weight loss program. I did my weekly weigh in and there was no surprise there. I had exactly the same weight and measurements as last week. So what is going on? I have consistently followed my program but I see no weight loss change.
What does this mean? 1. Is my program insufficient to my needs? 2. Does my weight loss program not work? Or, 3. I am on a plateau.
The answer is #3, I am just on a plateau. That is what it is called when a weight loss program seems to stop working even though you continue to persue it. The key here is that I did not gain any weight back either. If that were the case then the answer would be #2. If I had not lost any weight at all then #1 would be the answer. Yet I lost 6 pounds and only gained one back. Then for a week I did not change at all. So the answer remains #3. The weight loss program does suit my needs and it does work. I am just on a plateau, the weight loss will continue if I stick to the program.
So, why no weight loss in a week? Because, my body has caught up with my changed metabolism. It has gotten used to the new diet and exercise program. My body feels like is it normal again. I have lost the easy pounds. The ones that can be sweated out and easily discharged. I have cleaned my digestive tract of excess waste and even burned lost an inch off my waist. This is normal, in fact expected. You don't want to lose weight to fast. Your body won't be able to keep up with your metabolism. It may even result in a weight gain. Slow is better, safer and usually more successfull.
What happens now? If I keep my metabolism boosted I should start burning more fat calories and see the weight loss continue. The engine needs to find the fuel somewhere. The excess fat calories I have stored are now in line for consumption. Once over the plateau, I should start to see some exciting results.

---sidebar--- I slowed down my internal cleansing program. It worked so well that I decided to change my supplements. Instead I have added a cell activator to my supplement regimen. The concept here is to enhance my cellular rebuilding. The cells are where the fat and toxic molecules are stored. When you improve your nutrition your cells will rebuild themselves with the improved foods. As this happens the cells expell the inferior (or fat) molecules and toxins to be replaced with the healthier molecules. This is where the all the discomfort and sickness comes from, all the toxins pouring into your blood stream. Once these are cleaned out you start to feel much better. Even better than before the weight loss program. At this point you know the internal program is a success. |
Update to my "lose 10 pounds in a month" weight loss program. Well the time is almost here. So far my weight has dropped 7 pounds all together. Had to battle with the roller coaster though. That is when you gain a pound then lose a pound, then gain a pound, and on and on. I have been hovering around 6 pounds lost for 2 weeks. Today however I noticed that I have lost another pound, and two pounds from a week ago. So, all is good. That means I have past the plateau and am resuming my weight loss trend.
In an earlier post I said I had a secret weapon good for 3-5 pounds of weight loss in one day. And here it is. It is called "LaBomba", a beverage mix that contains green tea, high protein energy drink and aloe vera concentrate. This 3 day weight loss plan puts you on a fluid diet that replaces all solid foods. Don't worry about getting enough nutrition with this diet, it is packed full of protein, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
I tried LaBomba diet to kick off a major weight loss campaign two years ago. Very impressive as I lost 9 pounds and 3 inches in 3 days. Something of note was a warm feeling in my tummy. I could feel the fat molecules burning away (at least it seemed that way).
LABomba diet is basically aloe vera concentrate, green tea with herbs and high protein low carb energy drink mixed together. You drink 2 gallons of this concoction on day one. On day 2 you drink 5 high protein meal replacement nutritional shakes without fruit or any other sugars. Day 3 is 2 meal replacement shakes and 1 light meal. Weigh on day 4 and go back to your regular diet. You can (and should) continue to take your regular health supplements during this diet e.g. multivitamins, fat loss supplements, etc.
Things to notice are increased energy and inch loss around the waist. Some people have reported a feeling of euphoria as well. Even the name LaBomba connotes dancing with glee. LaBomba is an excellent way to kick off a major weight loss program. It will get you going in the right direction, boost your metabolism and clean out out your digestive system.
