New Years Resolution

Happy New YearFirst of all Happy New Year to all. Update to my lose 10 pounds in a month: I made it, I reached the goal I set out to make. Oh what a wonderful feeling. Making your weight loss goals gives you a sense of self satisfaction. Any achieved goal will do that yet when it comes to your health there is added fulfillment.

When it comes to weight loss any improvement is well worth it. Consider this, research shows being overweight can lead to heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, or arthritis. Studies show proper nutrition and healthy weight loss can slow down or even prevent these ailments. Even a 10% weight loss can significantly reduce the risk of these health related problems.

Successful weight loss involves taking actions in proper ways that need to be perfectly planned in order to bring satisfying results. Here are the four key elements you will need for making your weight loss plan a success.

  • Set a coal - Know what you want to accomplish.
  • Be Definite - State your goal distinctly.
  • Be Realistic - Goals need to be sensible and
  • Strategize - Schedule activities throughout the day.

Many people will make their new years resolution to be "lose more weight this year". If this is you, be sure to set a goal that you can reach easily. If your goal is too difficult to reach you run the risk of a huge disappointment. If your goal is to easy you won't be satisfied with it. Try setting your weight loss goals one at a time. Herbal Nutrition SolutionsEarly morning Saturday 1 week ago. The day started like no other. Everything was ready to go. The sun still wasn't over the horizon yet. The day would prove to be both long and short. The end was in site but round and round we went. Can you guess what we were doing? It starts with a friendly gathering to go over the rules. Probably the biggest motivation there is to losing weight is passion. With motivation to accomplish something we can do just about anything. Let's take motor-racing for example. Nearly all forms of motor racing have a minimum car and driver weight. Obviously the closer you are to the minimum weight without going under it is a huge advantage. One of the best ways to meet this weight is to want to win badly enough to lose personal body fat. Wanting to burn fat usually isn't enough by itself. A person with a passion will do better at losing weight that one without it. If you don't have passion --- get some! Take up a hobby or sport that requires physical exercise. Like motor racing or bicycle riding or mountain climbing even speed walking. Then set yourself some goals like winning the race or summiting or running a 5 minute mile. Update: Yeah! Hooray! and Fantastic!

My Motivation40 pounds lighter and a checkered flag!

You guessed it. This year I finished my race at Daytona. Having lost 40 pounds made all the difference. Instead of running out of gas I saw the checkered flag.

So yes the the weight loss program paid off. Thank You Herbalife, I could not have done it without you (yeah right). But instead I used the ShapeWorks programs to lose over 40 pounds and keep it off.

The moral of this story is: Motivation to accomplish something is THE most important ingredient for success. My motivation to finish a race at Daytona lead me change my lifestyle and lose a lot of excess weight.

I am doubly pleased by this success. Not only did I finish my race, but the car was 3 seconds a lap faster, with the same motor.

Recommendation: Get motivated. If you have a reason to improve your lifestyle you are more likely to succeed at it. If you aren't motivated yet, find a reason. It can be easy to find a reason. Just ask yourself this "am I satisfied with my current lifestyle"?

If the answer is no, then ask yourself this "where do I want to be 1 year from now"? Then ask yourself "what lifestyle changes can I make to reach that goal?"

Then - in 1 year ask yourself this "Did I reach that goal I set 1 year ago or not"? If the answer to this is "yes" then it's:

Aloe Vera the miracle plantDan was a computer programmer with a nice office job. He would religously pound away on the keyboard all day (and sometimes night). A friendly fellow Dan is.
