You guessed it. This year I finished my race at Daytona. Having lost 40 pounds made all the difference. Instead of running out of gas I saw the checkered flag.
So yes the the weight loss program paid off. Thank You Herbalife, I could not have done it without you (yeah right). But instead I used the ShapeWorks programs to lose over 40 pounds and keep it off.
The moral of this story is: Motivation to accomplish something is THE most important ingredient for success. My motivation to finish a race at Daytona lead me change my lifestyle and lose a lot of excess weight.
I am doubly pleased by this success. Not only did I finish my race, but the car was 3 seconds a lap faster, with the same motor.
Recommendation: Get motivated. If you have a reason to improve your lifestyle you are more likely to succeed at it. If you aren't motivated yet, find a reason. It can be easy to find a reason. Just ask yourself this "am I satisfied with my current lifestyle"?
If the answer is no, then ask yourself this "where do I want to be 1 year from now"? Then ask yourself "what lifestyle changes can I make to reach that goal?"
Then - in 1 year ask yourself this "Did I reach that goal I set 1 year ago or not"? If the answer to this is "yes" then it's:

I know what you mean. Racing is very weight specific sport. You need to watch your weight, keep your energy up and increase your stamina to stay at the top. I bet all those supplements really helped. Good luck at Daytona
